Big Wig Race Cars is my hobby and part time business of building race cars, hot rods, and street rods. I specialize in one-of-a-kind handcrafted aluminum interiors, but BWRC can do all aspects of racecar and custom fabrication.

This site contains most of the cars I've worked on over the last few years and also includes a few other things I thought visitors might be interested in. Prior works are mostly VW oriented, as that's what I grew up on and still have a passion for.

Brad Ocock came by when he was in town for the
10th Annual Lonestar Rod & Kustom Roundup and spent a day with me while I made the panels below. He wrote a great article with tons of pictures and lots of my bead rolling tips which you can see in the September 2011 issue of Hot Rod Deluxe.

Nov 2012 issue of Volksworld features Adrian Bird's unbelievable hotrod bug called Gonzolene, complete with diamond pleat bomber seats, door panels, and quarter panels by Big Wig Race Cars. More pictures of the car and the seats here.

HotVWs November 2010 features the Tyo/Atwell TAracing Class 5 offroad bug with aluminum by Big Wig Race Cars.

VolksWorld July 2008 features Russel Ritchie's panel Squareback with a 3-liter ARPM motor and diamond-tuck Big Wig aluminum interior panels.

The 2008 Käfer Revue also featured Russel Ritchie's Squareback, including some good pictures of the Big Wig interior panels. Käfer Revue is only published once per year in Germany, so having your car selected for a feature is quite an honor.
